meet the artisans
Our artisan spotlight this month is on Lufi & his family. Their roots are all in Java, Bali's neighboring island, but they live in Bali. His family has long been in the handicrafts business. They specialize in dreamcatchers and macramés. It’s a family affair—mom, dad, Lufi, and extended family—they’re creative, resourceful, and talented. They make many of our dreamcatchers, wall hangings, macramés and plant holders.
Lufi is a first generation college student, currently studying Economy. When we asked him what his dream career is, he smiled so big and exclaimed, “I want to be a BIG business man!” With his bright spirit, positive attitude, work ethic, and determination, we are sure he will become that and more, and we are so happy to have him and his beautiful family as partners.

dreamcatchers have a long history and tradition in Native American culture. legend has it that dreamcatchers will only allow for the good dreams to pass through and remain in the room, while trapping all the bad dreams within the weaving until they disappear before the first rays of sun come out in the morning. many people choose to place their dreamcatchers above their bed, but they can be placed in any room or space, as they are believed to change the energy anywhere they are.
the legends surrounding the use of dreamcatchers have inspired other cultures to create their own interpretations of them. we've encountered so many beautiful dreamcatcher creations all over the world, so we put together a thoughtful collection to share our favorite and most unique renditions of them. 20% of proceeds for all dreamcatcher sales are donated to our giving partner organizations.
our owl dreamcatcher is an especially meaningful piece in our collection. the owl signifies protection, wisdom, and guidance and our hope is that it brings these sentiments into your home. the care that went into this creation is truly felt. a beautiful piece to hang above the bed, and makes for a very sweet nursery gift.
